Holding what to me feels like a "classical" sense, a feeling of power and depth, this tough, rough diamond has a strong textural nature; thicker paint application and a gloss finish in parts all adding up to a strong 20cm x 20cm work that really resonates. Parts of negative space and the hint of moss green bringing a definitive feeling of restless movement.
* A note on my "Local Tectonic Series"; this is a style of painting that has pre-occupied me most of the past year or so. These paintings seek to give an impression of the Australian landscape, but do so by not being "descriptive" or figurative. I want these to be works where people can look and find their own meanings within, shifting perhaps each day, evoking a sense of something they may not be able to necessarily put their finger on.
With the sturdy oak frame, they can be hung on a wall or be freestanding on a bench or table etc. All of these come with wire hanging set-up on the back, as per photo.
