A sense of faded rust and the cool blue offer a sense of relief in this 20cm x 20cm piece. Containing a feeling chaos and movement and distance, this is a gorgeous gem that part of me wants to keep and put on my wall. But rather, I shall set it free and perhaps someone will love it as much as I do.
* A note on my "Local Tectonic Series"; this is a style of painting that has pre-occupied me most of the past year or so. These paintings seek to give an impression of the Australian landscape, but do so by not being "descriptive" or figurative. I want these to be works where people can look and find their own meanings within, shifting perhaps each day, evoking a sense of something they may not be able to necessarily put their finger on.
With the sturdy oak frame, they can be hung on a wall or be freestanding on a bench or table etc. All of these come with wire hanging set-up on the back, as per photo.
